This morning I shot photos at the Climb California stair climb. The event was hosted by the American Lung Association and consisted of a race up the 52 flights of stairs of the 555 California building in downtown San Francisco. Check out the photos at http://www.fotojack.com.

Yesterday morning I drove to Stinson Beach for a hike. The trailhead is located just up the street from the fire station and early in the morning it’s easy to find a place to park. I followed the Matt Davis trail uphill to Pan Toll Station. The way out is nearly all uphill but the view from the top is fantastic. Off in the distance you can see the radio tower on top of Twin Peaks in San Francisco. You can either go back down the same way or take an alternate route to the Dipsea Trail and back to Stinson Beach.

Check out the most recent issue of Windsport Magazine. They published one of my shots of the US Windsurfing Nationals in San Francisco last year. It’s of the formula fleet racing upwind toward the Golden Gate Bridge. The black and white image is a great contrast to the colorful images of tropical locations show in the rest of the magazine.

Yesterday was a beautiful day - sunny and warm (and windy). I headed over to the beach in Alameda to get some windsurfing shots. Whit Poor was out working on his freestlye and put on a great show.

Bryan MacDonald wrote an article about the similarities of design in modern sailing and windsurfing. One of my shots of last year’s Bridge to Bridge race made the cut.

The Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands put on the Run for the Seals today at Rodeo Beach. About 1,000 runners came out to support the cause and enjoy the beautiful weather. The normally foggy venue was nothing but bright sunshine. Check out my event photos at http://www.fotojack.com.
